History - 1944

At a meeting held at the then Hen & Chickens Hotel, on November 7th 1944, it was unanimously agreed to form a Rifle Club, the name of which was to be "The 3rd Worcestershire Battalion, Dudley H.G.Rifle Club." The "Club" was to become a member of the NRA and Officers were elected. At this time no shooting range was available to the "Club".

On November 20th, the "Club" was informed of the availability of ranges at the Drill Hall, Dudley and also Dudley Gas Works. The names and addresses of 44 prospective membersŤ were submitted by CSM Brown. The Constitution of the "Club" was issued dated 19th December 1944
